Tardis I

TARDIS I

My 1st TARDIS console was based loosely on the secondary console from the Tom Baker era. I completed if in 1996/1997. The central display case located in the bottom section is an antique and came from an old drug store in Apex, N.C. (I lived there for a short time.)

I got the idea for the top display from a coffee table curio case. This console was designed specifically to sit in a corner. It is complete with lights, sound system, small computer, and sci-fi toys with sounds. Please take notice of the "time gears".

This console is my "Main Console". She is a very special piece , and will never be on public display other than here. A memory chest and a dear old friend, she is named Spooks.

The harmonic lens is made from 2 pieces of oval-convex glass from a picture frame shop. The wrought iron brace is a garden accessory. The harmonic lens is an early version of the crystalline matrix found in later models of TARDISes.
